      Do you work with data?

Make this text into a bullet point list like so:

      • Automation
      • Data extraction
      • No-code tools

Recently, I’ve seen many store owners ask about how to find companies looking for distributors and dealers in very little time so they could optimize their process and make deals faster.

I’m not surprised because let's face it, flipping through endless industry publications or attending trade shows hoping to stumble on companies that need distributors can often feel like an endless circle of unproductive activity. It is time-consuming and often yields limited results.

But what if there was indeed a better way? Imagine having access to streamlined tools and techniques that can efficiently connect you with companies looking for distributors and dealers across various sectors.

In this comprehensive guide, I will show you an easy-to-use automation tool that can help revamp your process. In fact, you can forget about reading trade journals or traveling miles to attend conferences and trade shows.

With these powerful tools I’m about to show you, you'll be able to quickly find and connect with American companies looking for distributors, regardless of your industry. You can even find international brands if you want.

If you would prefer a video of this guide rather than text, here’s a video I made based on this article. It’s only a couple of minutes long:

From this step-by-step guide, you'll learn:

      • How to find businesses looking for distributors on Google Search
      • How to find companies needing distributors on social media
      • How to find companies looking for international distributors

By the time you finish this guide, you’ll have both the skills and knowledge required to make a list of companies looking for distributors like the one below:

To make this guide highly relatable and easy to follow, I will make a case study of how you can find solar companies looking for distributors, and my target location will be Phoenix, Arizona.

Keep in mind that you can use these tools and strategies to find companies looking for independent distributors regardless of the industry or country you operate in, not just solar or the United States.

All you have to do is follow me closely as we proceed, use your own keywords and location where required, and you’ll be fine.

Are you ready for this adventure? Let’s go!

2 ways to make a list of companies looking for distributors

In the next few minutes, I will show you two methods of finding companies looking for distributors in USA.

The first one will be how to find these companies on Google while the other one will be how to find them on social media. For both methods, we will be using one tool — the Google Search Scraper.

The Google Search Scraper is a blazing-fast automation tool that is designed to perform bulk Google Searches and automatically extract the results into a spreadsheet within just a minute or two.

For instance, if you use this bot to find US companies looking for distributors, you can use more than one search term at once, and you don’t need to bother extracting the results into Excel manually because the bot will handle all that, saving you much needed time to work on other things.

To gain access to the Google Search Scraper and start your search for a company looking for distributors, you must first create a free account on Botster:

Registration is fast and easy, and your credit card details are not even required.

Once your registration is completed, you’re good to go!

How to find businesses looking for distributors on Google Search

Quickly, let me take you through the steps of finding businesses looking for distributors on Google. This is pretty straightforward because all you need to do is provide your keyword to the Google Search Scraper.

Here’s how to launch the bot:

      • Open the Google Search Scraper’s start page by clicking on “Start bot:”

      • Give your job a name and set a folder if needed. I’ll name mine “Solar companies searching for distributors”:

      • Next, enter your search keywords. We’re adding the quotes to get exact match results; that’s also why more synonyms are needed to get more results:

      • Next, select how many results to extract:

      • Set your custom options if needed, though you can leave them as is:

      • Select your target location to get geo-specific results:

      • Set your notification preference and be sure to tick “Attach results to the notification email”:

      • Now, click on “Start this bot” to launch this bot into action:

And that’s it! You’ve completely set up the Google Search Scraper to find companies looking for distributors in the US!

Upon launching the bot, the “My Jobs” page will open and you should see your job active and running. At this point, you only need to wait a few moments while the bot loads your results.

      Video guide

Meanwhile, if you’d like to see a video of how to use the Google Search Scraper, I’ve added one for you below:

      Results

After about a minute or so, the active job should look like this:

This means the bot has finished searching for companies that are looking for distributors per your request and you can now download the results.

Downloading and viewing the result in any spreadsheet app should give you something similar to this:

      Tips

      • First, I recommend reading the “Body” column carefully to see if each distributor-seeking company is what you need and remove those that do not match your target.
      • Next, use the extracted company websites in column B to find the companies’ emails and phones using the Phone, Email, and Contact Exporter. You can find my video guide for the Phone, Email, and Contact Scraper here:

Now, that’s all for finding companies needing distributors on Google. Someplace else you can find these companies is social media. Let me quickly show you how to go about that.

How to find companies needing distributors on social media

Most people are so used to using social media for fun and connecting with friends and families that they forget companies have social media accounts too and most of them are in fact active.

Most companies typically post on their walls whenever there is an opening, and that’s why you have a good chance of finding new companies looking for distributors on any social network.

To find companies that need distributors on social media, we’ll still need the Google Search Scraper. This time, though, we will use the following search operator:

      site:

We’re basically still searching on Google. However, this search operator will help us narrow down the search to a specific URL, e.g. linkedin.com, x.com, and tiktok.com.

You don’t need to bother about how to use the search operator to find a company looking for distributors because I will give you the template and you can simply copy and paste.

Here’s how to set it up in less than a minute:

      • Open the Google Search Scraper’s start page and name your job as described earlier.
      • In the “Search keywords” box, paste the following text:

      site:linkedin.com "solar distributors wanted"

Paste it multiple times and edit “linkedin.com” to any other social network; also do the same for synonym phrases like this:

      • Select how many results to extract per query:

      • Set your custom options if needed, though you can leave them as is:

      • Start the bot!

      And that’s it! You’re done!

The best thing about using these social network URLs in your search is that they let you easily find foreign companies looking for US distributors!

      Results

Within a minute or two, the bot will find your results and make them ready for download. Viewing the spreadsheet in Excel will look similar to this:

      Tips

      • You can either observe the “Body” column or open each page to ensure that the results aren’t outdated because old social media posts may remain available for many years even when they are no longer relevant.
      • I also recommend that you contact the extracted companies personally through their accounts. You can access their page through the links in the “URL” column.

Searching for companies looking for international distributors: Use cases

Remember I mentioned earlier that this method will work regardless of your market or location? Certainly! Setting up this bot just as I’ve described above can help you easily find companies looking for international distributors.

To bolster this claim, here are a few frequently asked questions to which I’ve decided to provide an answer!

How to make a list of companies looking for distributors in India?

Making a list of companies looking for distributors in India or any other country isn’t difficult at all and yes, the automated bot I’ve just shown you can find them effectively.

While launching the bot, set your location to your target city in India, and you’re good to go!

Be sure to set your location to a city rather than the entire country as it helps the bot function better.

How to search for American companies looking for UK distributors?

If you’re in the UK and would like to find US companies looking for distributors in the UK, the Google Search Scraper is still to the rescue. However, it will require some changes in your bot setup.

      1. Add “UK”, “United Kingdom” or any other synonym to your search phrase.
      2. Set the location to a US city so you only get results from the US and you’re good to go!

How to find 100 FMCG companies looking for distributors?

Finding food or cosmetic companies looking for distributors (or even any FMCG company) is pretty straightforward.

All you have to do is launch the Google Search Scraper and include the niche keyword in your search phrase as in “cosmetic distributors wanted” and that’s it!

      Nothing special.

Also, remember to select “top 100” for the number of results to extract.

How to find the contacts of medical device companies looking for distributors?

Finding the contacts of medical device companies that need distributors in U.S.A. or even other countries is quite easy, albeit different from finding the companies themselves.

To find the companies, you’ll use the Google Search Scraper. However, to find their contact details, you’ll need the Phone, Email and Contact Exporter or the Company Email Finder.

You can launch the Phone, Email and Contact Exporter in 5 easy steps:

      • Open the Phone, Email, and Contact Exporter’s start page
      • Paste in the extracted websites list
      • Tick “Email” and “Phone” on the elements list
      • Select how many pages the bot should scan
      • Start the bot!

You can watch my quick video guide for this bot setup here:

And that’s it! Everything you need to find your target companies and strike that lucrative deal you’ve always wished for!
