How to reach recruiters on LinkedIn: 3 steps

      1. How to find recruiters on LinkedIn for a particular job

First, I’d like to show you how to find the recruiter for a job on LinkedIn using the LinkedIn Jobs Scraper. This tool can help you export LinkedIn job postings based on filters within a few moments. It will grab information such as job title URL, company, location, benefits, and many more.

The LinkedIn Jobs Scraper is highly effective for:

      • Job search on LinkedIn
      • Finding remote jobs on LinkedIn
      • Searching LinkedIn jobs by salary, industry, location, and more.

Since I’m trying to show you how to look for recruiters on LinkedIn, this tool is easily the number one option we can consider.

Before you can access the LinkedIn Jobs Scraper, you must first create a free account on Botster:

Opening an account on Botster is fast and easy, and you don’t even need to provide your credit card details. Also, try to confirm your email address so you can receive the search results in your email address.

Once you’ve created your account, you can proceed with this guide on how to find company recruiters on LinkedIn by following the steps below:

      • Launch the LinkedIn Jobs Scraper’s start page by clicking on “Start Bot”:

      • Next, name your job and also specify a folder if needed:

      • Specify the number of jobs you’d like the software to extract for you:

      • Now, quickly you’ll need to head over to LinkedIn jobs and perform a job search:

      • Enter the job title for the positions you wish to find job postings for and press “Enter”:

      • If you are trying to get data on countries other than the United States of America, you can change the country to any location of your choice:

      • If you would like to apply further filters, click on “All filters”:

      • Select the filters you want and click on “Show results”:

      • Now, you will have an updated result page that is subject to your filters. Copy the URL of the page:

      • Now go back to the automation tool page and paste the URL in the field that says “Search results URL”:

      • Under “Time and scheduling”, choose whether you want the LinkedIn Jobs Scraper to start running immediately or at a future time:

      • If you want the tool to continue running on autopilot, be sure to set it up:

      • If you set the bot to run periodically, also make sure you set an expiry date or let it run till manual termination:

      • I also recommend you set it to deliver only new items on subsequent searches. This way, you won’t have to deal with old data:

      • Finally, set up your notification options. Make sure you set it to attach results to the notification email:

Hoorrayyy!! You just learned the first step in how to get in touch with recruiters on LinkedIn. However, we are not done yet ☝️

When you click on “Start this bot,” it opens the “My Jobs” page automatically. Here, you can see the progress of your job:

Here, you can choose to run the program right at that moment, stop the project from future runnings, or send the result to your email by clicking on "XLS" at the top.

Watch a quick video guide on how to launch the LinkedIn Jobs Scraper:

      Results

Once the LinkedIn Jobs Scraper is done with the job, you’ll receive an email notification like the one below:

Your results are attached to the email, and you can simply download them to your computer and open them in Excel:

And there you have it! LinkedIn Marketing jobs within the United States, conveniently extracted into an Excel file.

Before I show you how to find recruiters’ websites and how to cold-email a recruiter on LinkedIn, I have some tips to share with you.

      Tips

      • While performing the search on LinkedIn, before copying the search result link into the tool as described above, make sure you specify the country, state, or city you want job posts from. This ensures that you only get the data you want.
      • Once you download the results to your computer, first sort the Excel data by name to easily identify duplicate job listings and remove them.
      • Sort the data by job title to group similar opportunities together. For instance, all marketing manager jobs will be grouped under M and all social media marketer jobs will be under S.
      • If you’d like to see the results by most recent, then sort by the column “Time”.
      • If you’re currently employed in a company, it makes sense to job-hunt anonymously. My guide on searching for a job on LinkedIn will teach you how to do this effectively.

      2. Life hack for LinkedIn: how to find recruiters’ websites

For the next step in this step-by-step guide, I’m going to show you how to find recruiters’ websites using another automation tool called the Google First Result Finder.

The Google First Result Finder can export the highest-ranking result for a search query into an Excel file. I know you want me to show you how to write an email to a recruiter on LinkedIn, but we’ll get to that in a bit.

So, to find recruiters’ websites using the Google First Result Finder, follow the steps below:

      • Launch the Google First Result Finder’s start page and name your job as we did for the previous tool.
      • Next up, enter the location of focus for your search. This could be a country, city, or region:

      • Select the language, device, and OS you want results for:

      • Next, skip certain websites and links from the search results, especially social networks:

      • Now, go back to the result file we got from the previous tool and copy the data in the column “Company”:

      • Finally, set up scheduling if needed, click on “Start this bot”, and that’s it!

I bet that’s as easy as falling off a log, lol 😃

Let’s wait for the results, and then I’ll show you how to email a recruiter on LinkedIn.

      Video guide

Meanwhile, if you find videos more appealing and easier to follow than text, here’s the video I made for this tool earlier:

      Results

After a few moments, you’ll receive the results exported by the Google First Result Finder in your email address. Opening it in Excel should show you this:

      Tips

      • First, you can sort the company names in alphabetical order before feeding them into the bot. This will aid further data extraction.
      • I once wrote a guide on how to find a business by phone number. There’s a lot to learn in it if you’re a business owner.

And now onto the last step: how to send an email to a recruiter on LinkedIn!

      3. How to email recruiters on LinkedIn

Before we start sending emails to the posters of the jobs we pulled from LinkedIn, we must first find their email addresses, right?

We already found their websites. How hard can finding their emails be? And the best part is that I have just the right tool for that. It’s called the Phone, Email and Contact Scraper!

If you don’t know how to communicate with recruiters on LinkedIn, then pay keen attention to this section.

Follow the steps below to find the email addresses of the recruiters:

      • Launch the Phone, Email and Contact Scraper’s start page and name your job.
      • Go to the results we got from the previous tool and copy the data under “Domains.” Be sure to remove duplicates:

      • Go back to the Phone, Email and Contact Scraper’s page and paste the domains in the “Website list” field. Be sure to remove sub-domains, e.g. group.loccitane.com → loccitane.com:

      • Set the tool to scrape phone numbers and email addresses:

      • You can leave the other fields empty and launch the bot into action right away!

In a short while, I’m going to show you how to connect with recruiters on LinkedIn as a bonus section. But for now, let’s wrap this section up.

      Video Guide

I also have a video guide for this tool. You can watch it below:

      Results

Now, the Phone, Email and Contact Scraper is done. Opening the result file in Excel should look similar to this:

      Tips

      • Before reaching out through the email addresses you generated, validate the emails using the Email Validator. This ensures they are all valid and reduces your spam score.
      • Also validate the extracted phone numbers using the Phone Number Validator to make sure they are active phone numbers
      • If you run a B2B startup and are looking to generate leads, my guide on creating lead generation databases is for you.

Bonus: How to connect with recruiters on LinkedIn

If you don’t know how to network with recruiters on LinkedIn, this is for you.

Networking with recruiters has several advantages. You can build relationships with them and be one of the first people to know when they have an opening.

Follow the steps below for how to search for recruiters on LinkedIn and also connect with them:

      • Navigate to the LinkedIn website and sign in.
      • In the search bar at the top, enter the search query “Recruiter” and press “Enter”.
      • In the filters displayed at the top of the page, click on “People”.
      • If you have particular companies in mind, click on “current company” at the top and select them.
      • When you have the results, open a recruiter account by clicking on their name.
      • Click on “More”, then click on “Connect”.
      • You will get a pop-up “You can customize this invitation”, click on “Add a note” and type in a personalized invite, then send.

That’s how to write a note to recruiters on LinkedIn.

How to work with recruiters on LinkedIn effectively

So far, we extracted data from 3 automation software tools to gather info on jobs and their posters. To use this data effectively, I would recommend gathering all the relevant data into a single Excel file.

Doing this makes it easy for you to peruse the data without having to navigate back and forth between multiple files. The new Excel file should contain the “Job listing”, “Job URL”, “Company name”, “Website”, “Email”, and “Phone number” columns like this:
